In this paper we present the analysis of convective heat transfer in the walls of a house insulated with polystyrene. In the first part we make an evaluation of the insulation that is currently used in the houses. We start the simulation using a real model of a house and than we make the model in Solidworks 2009. We run the model in Solidworks Thermal study after we insert the initial conditions. We notice that the obtained results indicate a problem which occurs inside the brick, the dew-point appearance. Further investigations must be made to solve this problem.
