A new generalized multiport formulation has been presented and compared to previousSEA work as well as experimental data. Good correlation to experimental data is obtained for thissystem with low modal density in the frequency range where data is available. Assumption of a 3%damping and use of a multiport formulation both contributed to an improvement in correlationcompared to a previous result. Nevertheless, for further validation, we recommend that dampingbe measured by more than one of the laboratories participating in the study, and that experimentaldata be acquired for higher frequencies and for additional cases of excitation.
