摘要

This paper presents a methodology for monitoring forces acting on a bulldozer ripper to avoid overloading and fracture in service conditions. The methodologywasbuilding and tested using experimental datacollected in a laboratory conditions and numerical data from a developed finite element model. Using these data and the neural network technique it was possible to create an identification tool for the bulldozer ripper. The promising results obtained are presented and discussed.
