Data Exchange Software Module between AutoCAD and CATIA Environments

摘要

This paper presents a software module used for geometrical data exchange between AutoCAD and CATIA environments. The module is included in GENgine main application which is used for engine block generating of an internal combustion engine based on a set of constructive parameters. The GENgine application and its modules run in the AutoCAD environment and they have been developed using OpenDCL and VisualLISP environments. The software module can exchange the 3D model of engine block from AutoCAD to CATIA as a solid object.
