Sheet deposition Rapid Prototyping systems such as LOM(Laminated Object Manufacturing), KIRA, and JP system 5 have many advantages: high build speed, low operating cost, large part size, no phase change, no need ofr support generation, etc. However, the sheet deposition RP systems reuqire an additional post processing for removing unnecessary regions attached to th part. This post processing is time consuming and labor intensive because the part must be treated carefully. Moreover, those systems cannot build parts with unremeovable features such as small-radius holes and trapped volumes. A new sheet deposition RP system that minimizes the post processing is proposed. This system automatically removes excessive material by peeling process between two cutting processes. With this procedure, post processing cost nd the limitation on the feasible geometric shape can e reduced compared to the conventional systems.
