摘要

A mechanical effect is developed of a non-uniform thickness shell revolving and current-carrying in electromagnetic (EM) field. In existence of the external EM field, the shell is subjected to two forces that are both EM elastic stress and mechanical load jointly. The two forces are coupled reciprocally, which brings stronger stress in the shell than normal. Therefore, the mathematical model of these stresses is given at first. And then the relationship between the stress and displacement is analyzed by using numerical method under the condition of axial symmetry. Finally, reliability of this numerical method is tested. The conclusion shows that it is very necessary to study excess EM elastic and stress in designing structure elements in the EM field.
