Analysis of the Structural Performance of the Laminated Glass Plate and Multi-Layered Laminated Glass Plate

Structural performance of laminated glass plate is still illusive as different researcherrnpresent different conclusions from their research. In this paper a modellingrntechnique that simulates the structural response of laminated glass is presented. Thernproposed modelling technique is also expandable to model the structural response ofrnmulti-layered laminated glass plate. Using numerical technique, we looked into therncontribution of structural benefit by laminated glass structure in comparison tornmonolithic glass plate. Interesting discoveries were found; such as structuralrnstrength of laminated glass structure is influence by the size of the plate and therncontribution of membrane strength for laminated glass is significant.
