One of the most recent methods for speech articulators assessment is the Electromagnetic articulography (EMA). By correlational and regressive analysis of signals from articulograph and video camera it becomes possible to determine relationships between motion of internal and external speech articulators. This is important from the point of view of the visual to articulatory speech inversion — which allows to estimate movements of inner articulators without using EMA. The correlational analysis between EMA sensors motion trajectory and trajectories for video markers glued to upper and lower lip is presented in the paper. Correlational and regressive relationships between external and internal EMA sensors have been presented too. Strong correlational and regressive dependencies between EMA sensor movements have been observed.
