An Analysis on the Factors Hindering the Reform of Sports Teaching Club in the Institutes of Higher Learning and the Corresponding Solutions

Colleges and universities have encountered many challenges in the process of PE curriculum reform, which has been undergoing for almost one decade, in spite of their achievement under the guidance of the "Physical Education Curriculum Guiding Outline for Common Institutes of Higher Learning in China" issued by the Education Ministry in 2002. This article, based on an analysis of the factors hindering the reform of sports teaching club in the colleges and universities, seeks to prove that the sports club teaching, which serves as a critical part of the whole curriculum in colleges and universities, will be greatly contributive to the reform and improvement of PE teaching in the institutes of higher learning.
