The paper proposes a method to improve authoring byrndisplaying a simplified view of an Adaptive EducationalrnHypermedia (AEH) system via a user role functionalityrnmatrix. Adaptive presentations are starting to appear inrnmany applications, in education, but also beyond. Forrninstance, the mobile phone world is increasingly applyingrnadaptation to location, user, etc. However, a knownrnbottle-neck in adaptation is the authoring process. In thisrnpaper, we propose a solution to this problem, by buildingrnon top of the visualisation paradigm. More precisely, wernpropose a method to improve authoring by displaying arnsimplified view of the authoring process via a user-rolernfunctionality matrix (FM). We aim to implement thisrnfeature in PEAL (a strategy authoring tool) to evaluate thernFM’s usefulness in applying adaptations for diversernauthors.
