In this paper RWE will demonstrate the techniques and information system productsrnit has utilised to support the requirements of a major energy sector participantrnoperating in a competitive commercial environment. Through case studies we willrnlook in detail at the approach RWE have taken in the delivery of technical expertisernvia remote analysis, diagnosis and reporting of power plant condition andrnperformance. With practical examples we will demonstrate operational andrncommercial information management where particular expertise and services arerntailored to the requirements of the power plant culminating in the description of thernRWE Diagnostics system, defined as “the delivery of technical expertise via remoternanalysis, diagnosis and reporting of power plant condition and performance”.
