The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the performance of various types of vegetation reinforcement for slope against seepage flow through a series of centrifuge model tests. As vegetation reinforcement, grass planting, fascines, and staking are considered. Test results reveal that (1) grass planting and fascines can mitigate crack formation on the slope surface and the shallow failure of the slope, while this can result in the sudden general failure when the phreatic surface reaches a critical depth, and (2) staking is effective to mitigate the general failure of slope, since it constrains slope deformation and provides the shearing resistance at the interface between the bedrock and soil.
