Technological process of rare earth sealing anodized LY12 alloy is introduced in this paper. Corrosion resistance of film is examined by electrochemical method. The results show that rare earth sealing anodized film is comparable to that of chromate sealing anodized film. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis reveal that the rare earth sealing anodized coating is amorphous.
