摘要

A simplified approach for the computation of scalp potentials on human head models, based on the use of the dipole model and the finite element method, is proposed in this paper. The dipole sources characteristics are modelled using the Delta function, and then estimated as the function of the derivative of the base function, the amplitude, and the dipole separation. The computation can be greatly simplified since the derivative of the linear-base function is constant. The computation of potential distributions in a four-layer concetric head model, for both single- and multiple-dipole cases, is used as an application for this proposed appraoch.
