Teasing a Quasiparticle: Ultrafast Nonlinear Response of the Froehlich Polaron in GaAs

摘要

Ultrafast acceleration of polarons in a strong THz field results in an oscillatory occurrence of midinfrared gain/absorption with the LO phonon frequency. THz-pump-midinfrared-probe measurements give a first insight into the internal motion of a quasiparticle.
