Nuclear engineering undergraduate outreach is a continual process that extends beyond pre-college initiatives. It provides a link between academia and industry, answering questions about preparation and transitional steps. The millennial generation has different learning characteristics and expectations. Our message in academic outreach must be tailored to answer their questions so they make informed decisions - they are confident, technologically connected and open to change. And as with other students, societal benefit of any major needs to be expressed.
