Proposal of a semi-empirical parameter groups model of organic solid waste gasification

A model for gasification of organic solid waste was developed by applying similarity theory and dimensional analysis. And the semi-empirical parameter groups model which coupled heat and mass transport in the gasifier is proposed. With this model, the simulation of the concentration of producer gas based on an updraft fixed-bed gasifier was carried out. Effects of fuel composition (ultimate analysis and moisture content), the operating parameters, reaction temperature, and amount of gasification agent will be investigated. It was found that the parameters introduced in the semi-empirical model predicted well the concentration of gasification producer gases in organic solid wastes gasification. The experiment data obtained from different working conditions are analyzed and regressed. Good agreement is obtained between predictions and experiments for the composition of the producer gas.
