Process for converting solid or liquid gasifying materials, particularly industrial organic waste e.g. wood, plastic, used oil, etc. to usable gases as gasifying products, involves inserting a gasifying agent into waste material for thermal and chemical conversion. The waste material is treated thermally or catalytically in a fluidized bed made of charged of waste particle, catalyst and/or other additives e.g. sand and/or charcoal forming a fluidized bed. An Independent claim is included for an apparatus to carrying out the conversion of solid or liquid gasifying materials.
