HOSPITAL INFORMATION SHARING SYSTEM : PLAN AND PERSEPECTIVES

In the recent trends of new socio-economic changes, IT has played a pivotal role and isrnushering a totally new way of life. There does not exist even a single aspect of our livesrnwhich will remain untouched by IT and its enabled services. From communication tornspace exploration to disaster management-everything has been revolutionized with thernhelp of computers. And in such a scenario, medicine does not remain untouched. Thernconcept of telemedicine has come a long way in saving thousands of lives.rnTherefore, a plan has proposed of practically establishing the concept of tele-medicine tornthe Department of Medical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The planrnincluded connecting all these major medical institutions through a high speedrninformation network so that these may exchange any information required by them atrnany time. Additionally the plan included the proposal to install a telemedicine solutionrnfor all these concerned medical institutions so as to enable them to deliver world classrnmedical services to their clients. This paper presents an introduction to the project andrndetails of the project execution plan.
