Plasmonic hybrid nanoparticles (NPs) have garnered considerable attention due to their potential applications in plasmonic devices because of their synergistic properties. Herein, we report the synthesis of titanium (Ti) and Ti-Au (gold) NPs using femtosecond pulse (~50 fs, 800 nm, 1 kHz) ablation of a Ti target in water, ethanol, hexane and prior synthesized Au NPs. Subsequently, third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of these NPs were investigated using the femtosecond Zscan technique. The nonlinear refractive index, two-photon absorption coefficient along with NLO susceptibility [χ~((3))] of these NPs were estimated.
