This work presents a FIA system for quick detection of organophosphate pesticides based on chicken liver esterase inhibition. Two reaction columns packed with immobilized chicken liver esterase were applied in the system with one column as measuring column and another as reference column. Both of the columns were pre-inhibited off the system by incubation of them in sample solution for 5 min. The total toxic substances of sample were calculated based on inhibition ratio of the enzyme by measuring the FIA peaks high before and after inhibition. The calibration graph was linear between 0.01 and 0.5 mg/L dichlorvos. The LOD (limit of detection) was 0.005mg/L. A complete analysis lasted 12 min. The results supposed the possibility to develop convenient biosensor for rapid detection of organophosphate pesticides in fruits and vegetables.
