Metal-ligand cooperation (MLC) processes are known as the key step in the activation ofvarious chemical bonds.1 In this study,a series of cobalt(I) complexes with a tetradentate PNNPligand (2,9-bis((diphenylphosphaneyl)methyl)-1,10-phenanthroline) were synthesized,andtheir intrinsic MLC behavior,which involves a dearomatization/aromatization sequence,wasdemonstrated.
