C8-functionalized 1-naphthylamine scaffolds has remarkable significance in functional molecules, such as potential ligand system, organic semiconductor, or the electroluminescent material.1 The bidentate-chelation-assisted selective C-H bond activation has been emerged as an attractive strategy for functionalization of 1-naphthylamine by converting it to amide derivatives.
