Supramolecular polymers, defined as polymeric arrays held together by non-covalent interactions including hydrogen bonding and π-π interaction, are promising smart materials owing to their fascinating properties arising from dynamic monomer-aggregate exchange.1 Since the presence of pathway complexity in their formation process have been disclosed,2 the major interest is currently being focused on the kinetic control of supramolecular interactions between monomeric units that drive polymerization.3 Although this has been addressed by several research groups based on intricate molecular design, we demonstrate here a more supramolecular approach.4
