摘要

Phenols and anilines are very important industrial chemicals and also key structural moieties in a large variety of fine chemicals and functional materials. To date, various synthetic procedures for phenols and anilines have been developed. However, most of the procedures employ electrophilic or nucleophilic substitution of arenes as the key reactions, which results in the difficulties in the control of regioselectivity. Therefore, the development of efficient synthetic procedures for phenols and anilines using more diverse starting materials other than arenes is highly desirable from the retrosynthetic point of view.
