摘要

Nucleophilic addition reactions initiated by protonation of olefins with Bronsted acid are one of classical reactions in organic chemistry. Whereas chiral Bronsted acid-catalyzed asymmetric addition reactions of electron rich olefins have been accomplished, that of simple olefins, such as styrene derivatives, still represents a formidable challenge because of their low reactivities. Therefore, the development of more acidic chiral Bronsted acids which facilitate the efficient activation of such olefins is desirable.
