Application of retrosynthesis module in Synthetic Organic Chemistry Course using Student Centered Learning (SCL) method is expected to encourage and direct students to find the right way of learning and facilitated by the availability of supporting modules so that the above problems are expected to be resolved. The application of this retrosynthesis module uses a learning approach based on Student Centered Learning (SCL) which has characters that can encourage students to find appropriate learning resources and enable student learning attitude so that they can solve the problems faced in this lecture. In this study, students were divided into small groups with reference to the retrosynthesis module. Teaching and learning process is done in several forms such as discussion of problem based and case theory as well as practicing with models / molecular visuals that applicative. The specified indicators are used to quantitatively measure the learning outcomes with this SCL method to support the achievement of learning outcomes. The result showed that students have to understand that the learning device college complete and comply with specified learning outcomes. Students are mostly able to receive and enjoy the learning model offered. It takes a stronger motivation to learn for students to synchronize learning and teaching in SCL method. Retrosynthesis compiled modules need to be refined to include the basic theories that correspond to the module content to make it easier to repeat essentially materials such as Organic Chemistry and Physical Organic Chemistry.
