摘要

With the increase of railway speed, the impact of wheel roundness on running safety and riding comfort becomes greater. When in high speed, high-order wheel roundness dramatically decreases the service life of vehicle components and track system. An on-board wheel roundness monitoring technique is proposed in this paper. The vibration signals are obtained by the acceleration transducers installed on the axle boxes then processed to get wheel roundness order. The method is proved to be valid by theoretical analysis and on-board experiments. At last, the relationship between train speed and vibration strength at different roundness level is also discussed.
