Queue behaviors of accessible elevators in metro stations

This study was found 98% of people faces the door when entering, while 2% enters facing away from the door, including people with luggage or children, and wheelchair or electric wheelchair users. In the elevator queue, only 4% follow the floor guides and line up on both sides, while 72% waits in front of the door. Up to 72% of people loiters on the guide bricks. When entering the elevator, 16% of people have route conflicts with people coming out.
