摘要

According to the formula and parameter analysis of high strength bolts in T-type tension joint, this paper reveals the relationships between the tension loading and flange thickness or prying force. The formula for prying force and flange thickness before and after the inflection point is deduced and it is proposed that the relative strength of bolt and flange plate determines the size of the prying force. The formula for the inflection point for the critical tension loading caused by the changing prying force is also derived in the paper. Besides, the effects of bolt diameter, flange plate strength and bolt grade on prying force and thickness is also analyzed. This paper provides a reference for the design of high strength bolts in tension joints.
