Rising vehicle demand in non-OECD countries will lead to increased demand in gasoline and diesel. Asian countries need to balance developments and maintaining high air quality standards. As seen from European and other auto-oil programs, having better fuel quality standards is an effective solution. Asian countries will need to push for better fuel quality standards.
