In order to improve the removal efficacy on pig manure odor, a biological filter was developed with the packing of wormcast, sawdust, perlite and activated carbon and its effect was evaluated.The effect on pig manure odor removal using three different packing, which had C/N ratios from 25 to 40, was compared under different environmental conditions.Results showed that the removal efficacy on hydrogen sulfide (H2S) fiom anaerobic fermentation was up to 92.96% when using the packing of "worrncast + sawdust + activated carbon".Compared with the other two types of packing, it had better removal efficacy and longer stability, but prone to be influenced by environmental factors including temperature, humidity and packing height.The packing cost can be reduced by appropriately supplementing with certain amount of absorption materials, perlite for example, without significantly affecting the removal efficcacy.
