Towards a Kantian (constructivist) Understanding of Ethical Principles: A Study on the Ethics of Magistrates

We seek to offer an understanding of certain principles, such as the Principle of Independence, the Principle of Impartiality and the Principle of Integrity. In order to understand these principles, we aim to present the meaning of the concept of the ethical principle itself and the distinctions and similarities between ethics and deontology, as well as the main codes of ethics and deontology that govern the activity of professions in the legal field. The difficulty of the process comes from the relative novelty of the concerns regarding the deontology of the magistrate that should be included in the very system of justice functioning.
