Gestao da Qualidade na Producuo e Comercializado de Biomateriais

The pharmaceutical industry requires high quality to comply with the requirements of their products, and to guarantee the health of the society. For the compliance of these goals, the quality management systems (QMS) have been implemented due to its benefits. Therefore the aim of this study is to assess the impact of the QMS implementation in the management of industrial property (IP), commercial and innovation, the social development and the improvement of the quality of Ufe. The analysis was based on the experiences at the National Center for Scientific Research in the research, development, evaluation, production and marketing of biomateriais for bone and ocular implants, obtained from the coralline hydroxyapatite HAP 200 and commercialized under Coralina~R trade-mark. The study showed the relevance of quality management in institutional management and cus-tomer's satisfaction. At the same time it showed its role in the intellectual and social development. As conclusions, the impor-tance of quality assurance, its impact on successful management of IP and marketing of the results of R+D+I, can be evidenced.
