THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT HORMONAL PREPARATIONS ON EFFECTIVENESS OF ARTIFICIAL REPRODUCTION OF CHUB Leuciscus cephalus

Development of civilization caused many changes in the natural environment. Regulation of rivers and hydro-technical constructions development resulted in irreversible changes of habitats of many fish populations. Limitation of a surface of spawning grounds and habitats of larval fish grow negatively influences population abundance and may constitute a risk for species continuity. In this context, production of stocking material in controlled conditions is a significant element of the natural environment protection. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of the selected hormonal agents on the ovulation rate, a latency time, a number of eggs and on a survival rate of embryos in chub artificial spawning under controlled conditions.
