摘要

Photorefractive spatial solitons have been source of many studies during the last decade. In particular, the Sr{sub}(1-x)Ba{sub}xNb{sub}2O{sub}6 crystal have been the object of a special interest in the formation of spatial solitons [l]. Even if other crystals, as Bi{sub}12TiO{sub}20 or KNbO{sub}3 present also this characteristic, SBN crystal present a real interesting potential to photorefractive self-focusing. We conduct an experimental study on a bulk SBN crystal as a function of time and evidence the transition from self-focusing to branching.
