Nowadays plain bearing has been widely used in many applications such as automobiles, aircrafts and marine equipment's. New bearing materials are developed to reduce the failures such as seizure, corrosion and excessive load, which leads to life span of the bearing. This paper explains about the maximum load withstand by different specimens. The bearing was tested on thrust seizure test machine and its performance has been validated. Parameters like seizure and frictional force will be taken into consideration in validating material property of a plain bearing. Seizure test has been performed by considering the seizure load and frictional force so that the maximum seizing load of the bearing material has been consolidated. Therefore, taking in all these aspects an experiment on plain bearing has been done.
