This paper analyses the influence exerted by the inclination of the accesses on the speed of the transport equipment in a copper mine in the southeast of Para. Starting with topographic survey made by Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), the haul roads were divided into several measurement areas, using the planning software that also allowed to measure the average inclination grades for each area. From georeferenced data collected from GPS measurements of trucks by querying the dispatch database, extracting information such as location and equipment instantaneous speed, it was possible to determine the fleet average speed in certain accesses points of the mine, with distinguished inclination grades. The analysis of this data enables us to establish a relation between equipment speed and inclination grades of the haul roads in the mine conditions, subsidizing dimensioning and scheduling in short-term mine planning.
