Nikolai Kolchin (1894-1975)

N.I.Kolchin is one of the founders of the modern theory of gear wheels and transmissions, an acknowledged leader of the unique school of analytical theory of gearing, the brightest representatives of which are professors E.Ginzburg, M.L.Erikhov, F.L.Litvin, K.M.Pismanik, K.I.Gulyaev, V.V.Shultz. The works of this school representatives play an important role in further development of the theory of gearing.
