To elevate experimental research capability and promote robust data collection in cookstove research and testing centers around the world, Berkeley Lab recently created a series of training videos for building, calibrating, and validating a cookstove testing facility. This video series was developed in response to the significant number of inquiries Berkeley Lab receives from research groups and testing centers worldwide who want to build or improve their own testing facility. In this paper, we offer an overview of the video series and its contents. The training video series aims to show aspiring researchers and experimentalists how to perform gas analysis, aerosol sampling, and thermal power analysis in a laboratory. The course also provides an overview of lab calibration procedures, validation of the experimental setup and measurements collected, and the development of a quality assurance plan and standard operating procedure. The training videos series integrates the knowledge gained from building and conducting experiments in Berkeley Lab's cookstoves research testing facility with the test and validation procedures described in the ISO/TC 285 Harmonized Laboratory Testing standard.
