This paper aims to achieve the modeling and control of a centrifugal pump working as a turbine, used to regulate pressure and as an energy recovery system. From the pump's parameters, equations which model the behavior as a turbine are presented. Experimental test are performed in a specifically designed workbench, and system identification is done from the collected data. Finally, a PI control is designed to reject disturbances, to eliminate steady state error in the output pressure and, as a consequence of the system's topology, to recover energy.
