To acquire precise data on the hydrodynamic parameters is of major importance for the characterization of a watercourse. In this regard, specialized techniques have been developed and used in order to measure, process, analyze and forecast the data which define the watercourse, such as: riverbed bathymetry, flow, water level and water current velocity. In this paper, these parameters were studied in the Epura?u Branch - Danube River sector. This area is of particular importance due the presence of community interest species, but also because of the anthropic interventions carried out, which raised the problem of ensuring the longitudinal connectivity of the branch with the Danube River. The research activities, which involved in situ measurement campaigns, processing and numerical modeling, were carried out for low flow conditions, upstream of the studied area the water flow did not exceed 680 m~3/s.
