Clearly staging holds great significance as it not only defines the therapeutic modalities to be pursued j but ultimately the dictates a patient's prognosis. In veterinary medicine, advances in imaging, ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear] scintigraphy, have greatly improved our ability to more thoroughly stage oncology patients.
