Transformer Tap Optimisation exercise in Indian Power System

摘要

This paper deals with the transformer tap position optimization exercise carried out by the Indian Power System Operator in the All India transmission network. The pan Indian optimization is carried out by the operator based on the seasonal variation across the country as well as the regional demand variations. This paper deals with the methodology involved to identify candidates for tap optimization, study the impact of tap changes and implementing the same & verifying optimal implementation.
