A measurement study on the residents' attitude towards ecological compensation in tourism destination: A case in Li river basin

The dimensions, contents and influencing factors of the residents' attitudes are constructed as the starting point and foundation of the ecological compensation attitude study. This paper chooses Li River Basin as the research object, and measuring the attitude of local residents as the starting point, by using factor analysis to analyze the dimensions, contents and influencing factors of the residents' attitudes towards ecological compensation. The result shows that the dimensions of Li River Basinresidents' attitude towards ecological compensation can be divided into three areas: "compensation cognition", "environmental benefits", and "economic interests"; Li River Basin residents strongly hope to get ecological compensation, meanwhile, hold neutral attitude towards the environmental benefits and economic interests brought by Tourism. There are significant differences between the residents' attitudes towards ecological compensation in different demographic groups of Li River Basin.
