The actual status of development of a hand held device for food allergen and toxin detection is presented. The system uses fluorescence detection of a bio molecule pixel array embedded in a disposable cartridge. The injection moulded cartridge further contains channels, hybridization chamber, pre and post chambers to improve incubation process. Miniaturized embedded electronics manage the fluidic flow, record, analyze and display the result and provide a user interface for device control.
