1. Future PN and PM regulation will facilitate GPF installation 2. GPF can be adapted to variety of system concepts and GPF material was optimized for both uncoated and coated application. Uncoated GPF (1) Wall thickness & cell density are adjusted to reduce PD and keep adequate isostatic strength. (2) Optimized uncoated GPF shows reduction of PD and acceptable PN filtration on vehicle test Coated GPF (1) Microstructure (Porosity & MPS) is adjusted to improve its compatibility with catalyst. (2) Optimized coated GPF effectively filtered PN and removed gaseous emissions over 160,000km of vehicle test.
