This study focused on analyzing the important role of Business English in business management. From an overview of the use of Business English, this study analyzed the connection between Business English and business management, the specific use of Business English in enterprise, and language features of Business English in business management. After the analysis of the use of Business English in daily business management, the study made discussions and considerations on bettering the role of Business English in business management.

While quite a number of English-Japanese dictionaries of business and legal terms have been publishedin Japan, there seem to be very few Japanese-English dictionaries on the market which give clear explanations of thesubtle differences in meaning between the various English equivalents of terms in such specialized fields. Due to alack of clear guidance, Japanese users frequently hesitate over which term to select when writing business letters ordrafting legal documents.
