摘要

The development of hybrid electric vehicles(HEV) and typically pure electric vehicles (EV) has increasingly hecome a popular topic around the world.Many countries,such as the European Union,the United States and China,have given priorities to develop HEVs and pure EVs as their major measures to reduce fossil fuel dependency and cut CO2 emissions.The overall performance and life-cycle of the EVs/HEVs,notably,are dependent upon the cost,durahility,and longevity of the components they have.Due to EVs largely relay on electric and electronic components,effective thermal management to the components has undoubtedly become the crucial and the most important for such vehicles development.In this paper,the challenge for the thermal management(TM) from developing pure electric cars is addressed.After a brief review of current technology of TM and recent innovation,the role of TM should play in future EVs development and its impact on the car industry are discussed.
