This paper presents method of designing an intelligent indoor farming climate control system using light emitting diode (LED) light for Brassica Chinensis. Researches on wireless sensor network (WSN) have been adopted in many research works in outdoor farming unfortunately less attention was given for indoor farming due to wall penetration problem on high frequency such as in 2.4 GHz system. In the proposed system, 433 MHz was introduced using Dash-7 technology to eliminate this issue. The developed system comprises real-time data monitoring with acquisition/logging and feedback control system to monitor and control climate parameters for optimum growth of the plant. The study compares the effect of Far Red treatment plant growth with consistent amount of light exposed for both trials using 12 hours lighting system. The combined Red/Blue/White (RBW) LEDs of ratio 16:4:2 as light source has been used for control experiment and additional Far Red (FR) LED was injected on target specimen to stop and control the flowering period. The finding from the experiment has shown that no significant different between control and target specimen exposed to very high intensity of light continuously, since no flowering was recorded during 40 days of period. From data analysis, it can be concluded that the plant with FR light treatment has stop flowering period of the plant but due to high intensity of both trial no different was recorded.
